On November 7, 1995, the citizens of Aventura overwhelmingly voted to approve the City’s Charter and officially incorporate as Miami-Dade County’s twenty-eighth municipality. The City provides a full range of municipal services, from code compliance to street repairs.
Aventura’s appeal can be attributed to its abundance of shopping, fine restaurants, entertainment and amenities, as well as its convenient location situated between downtown Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
